All athletes will need a Final Forms account to include all forms signed and an updated TSSAA physical completed before being able to participate.

Practice will start on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 3-5 p.m. 

We will practice every day that we are in school. 

Practice is held at the Viking Wrestling Club facility at 320 Bluff City HWY (across from Blue Circle/Putt-Putt).  Students will ride a bus from TMS to this location.  Students will meet Coach McClain at the top of the learning stairs, board an activity bus, and be transported to the wrestling facility.  Parents/Guardians will need to pick you up from this location.  Wrestlers will be ready for pickup at 5 pm. 

Athletes will need wrestling shoes, athletic/gym shorts, and a T-shirt; short or long sleeve for practice.  Students with braces will need a mouthpiece that covers all teeth with braces. 

No prior experience is necessary.  Students will compete in one of the following weight classes listed below.  Athletes often worry about competing against someone bigger than themselves.  This is not the case.  For example, if a student weighs 110 pounds they will wrestle in the 114 lb weight class.  

Boys weight classes-75, 82, 90, 98, 106, 114, 122, 130, 138, 145, 155, 170, 185, 215, 260

Girls weight classes-75, 84, 93, 100, 107, 114, 121, 128, 135, 145, 155, 180, 225

Weigh-ins at 5pm Wrestling at 5:30 unless otherwise noted***

All students must have a Final Forms account, an uploaded physical, and all parent and student forms signed in order to practice.
