Jennifer Coffey Debusk – 1985 (Tennessee High School)

Jennifer Coffey Debusk was a standout athlete for the Lady Vikings in both diving and track and field.
Under Coach Betty Schoenhardt, Coffey became the only three-time state champion in Tennessee High diving and swimming history, taking titles in 1982, ’83, and ’84.

Coffey was also a three-time state qualifier in hurdles, finishing sixth in as a freshman. She also participated in the high jump and long jump. She has some of the top efforts in THS history, and has the fourth all-time best time in the 100 hurdles, eighth best time in the 300 hurdles, fifth best in long jump, and eighth best in high jump.

Coffey graduated from East Tennessee State University, majoring in Physical Education and Elementary Education. She resides in Kingsport, is married to Frankie Debusk, and has a son, Ty, currently in graduate school at ETSU.
